AGORO SARE, KISII SCHOOL PROMISES TO LATCH ONTO THEIR NYANZA TITLES
Kisii School began their preparations by winning the Kisii School @90 celebrations tournament, and Agoro Sare lost to Kisii University 5–4 on penalties. Rugby 15s champion Kisii School defeated Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho, 43-0, their local rivals.
The football and rugby 15s titles for Kisii School and Agoro Sare, two secondary schools in the Nyanza region, will remain in their possession.

"For us, it was a successful tournament. I could tell how fit the boys were thanks to it. Coach Lee Arstone of Kisii School stated, "We want to compete in Maseno and Mang'u Open tournaments before the start of the season."

Coach Felix Kabondori of Cardinal Otunga minimized the significant defeat.
For the lads, it was an educational experience. After two or three tournaments, they will undoubtedly get better, he said.
In boys' football, Kisii University defeated Agoro Sare 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw between the two teams during ordinary play. In the semifinals, Kisii University defeated Kibabii High 1-0 and Agoro Sare defeated Getembe 2-0.
"We played against a very good Kisii University side," stated Bernard Ombija, the coach of Agoro Sare. My sons got a lot of exposure from this tournament. The rivalry was fierce.

Agoro Sare took fourth place in the national championship last year.
After defeating Geke Mixed 1-0 and Kereri Girls 3-1, St. Theresa's Nyangusu won the girls' championship. Geke defeated Kereri 2-1 in the other match. Three teams entered the competition, which was round-robin in nature.
Kibabii Boys defeated Sameta 3-0 to win the boys' hockey championship, while Kisii University defeated Kereri Girls 2-0 to win the girls' hockey title. Kisii Falcons triumphed over Oyugis Hockey in the club's division.
Boys' volleyball champions Sagegi Mixed of Migori County lost to Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Kisii Campus 3-1 (27-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23).
Following victories in straight sets over KMTC Kisii Campus, Ichuni Girls, and Kereri, Sagegi emerged victorious in the girls' division.
To win the basketball championship, Nyanchwa Boys overcame a hostile home crowd by defeating Kisii School 47-41.
The girls' basketball title was won by the Kereri Girls. Manga Girls 20-11 and Ichuni Girls 11-02 were defeated by Kereri, the Kisii County champions. Manga finished second, defeating Ichuni 39–08.
While the KMTC Kisii campus emerged victorious in the girls' handball competition after winning all three of their matches, Gusii Stingers defeated Igonga 14–13 to claim the boys' title. They won their first game 11-4 against Kereri Girls, defeated Ichuni 8-0, and defeated Sagegi 19-3 to close up the campaign.
More than thirty schools participated in the tournament, which will take place every year.
"For being the first edition, the turnout was decent. Head of Games Hesborn Chweya of Kisii School stated, "We anticipate drawing in more teams next year."
