President William Ruto has today chaired a meeting at UDA party headquarters to discuss contagious issues facing the party’s upcoming elections. In attendance was Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and senior UDA officials.
UDA elections were planned for December but were postponed to April 12th and will end in April 26th.
Today’s meeting will discuss whether the elections will go on as planned or they will be postponed again to allow time for thorough preparations.
Also key in the meeting’s agenda will be on how to plan for logistics and materials to enable a successful party electioneering process.
The party initially wanted to hold nationwide elections on the same day in December but decided to postpone the elections to 12th, 19th and 26th April this year down from December 9th last year.
The plan was to give the party ample time to plan for the elections.
