WORLD CONDOMS DAY: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW !
'Safer is Sexy, Always in Fashion' is the theme of Kenya's celebration this year.
Every year on February 13, the day before Valentine's Day, people celebrate World Condom Day, also called International Condom Day.
The US-based organization AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which was founded in 1987 in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, is responsible for creating the day, which is commemorated globally.
The organization gives away free condoms in honor of the festival.
The day's goal was to educate people that one of the best ways to avoid unintended pregnancies and STDs is to use condoms.
International Condom Day strives to provide people the power to make educated decisions about their sexual health and well-being by designating a day to emphasize the advantages of condom use and to advocate for its accessibility and availability.
In addition, it provides a chance to dispel the stigma associated with condom use and encourage candid conversations about sexual health, both of which will ultimately improve the health of communities everywhere.
'Safer is Sexy, Always in Fashion' is the theme of Kenya's celebration this year.
To promote safe sex, it is scheduled for February 13, which is just before Valentine's Day.
