1.      CONSUMPTION OF MEAT HARDENS BLOOD VESSELS

Red meat contains a compound called carnitine. Carnitine is also used as an additive in energy drinks. The compound can cause Atherosclerosis (hardening or clogging of arteries). Research has found out that excessive levels of carnitine in the body increases the risk of cardiovascular attacks.

 

2.      MEAT CAN CAUSE STOMACH CANCER

Research shows that the preparation of meat especially roasting and frying it increases toxins called nitrosamines that can cause stomach cancer

 

3.      YOU CAN CONTRACT E COLI

E Coli is a disease that can be caused by consuming raw unpasteurized milk and meat. E Coli causes dehydration, abdominal cramps and kidney failure

 

4.      EATING MEAT INCREASES RISK OF CONTRACTING TYPE 2 DIABETIES

According to research by JAMA Internal Medicine eating meat is the leading cause of obesity and type 2 diabetes in USA.

 

5.      MEAT AFFECTS YOUR BRAIN AND COLON

Meat is very rich in iron, eating excess meat can cause excess levels of iron in the brain which can lead to contracting the Alzheimer’s disease. Excess meat also increases risk of having colorectal cancer.
