Embarambamba's Pardon MP Silvanus Osoro intervenes and arranges a meeting with MCSK Chief Ezekiel Mutua

"We all reached one conclusion, that it is possible to deal with this matter under ADR which is recognized by law so that we mentor Embarambamba, look at the penalties that have been spelled out, and see how we can help together, and make this talent a more useful and responsible contributor to the development of our country," Mutua said.

After certain Kisii community leaders intervened in his disagreement with the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) and Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK), controversial gospel musician Chris Mosioma, also known as Embarambamba, may now exhale with relief.

The leaders of the South Mugirango MP and National Assembly Majority Whip, Silvanus Osoro, successfully arranged a meeting with Ezekiel Mutua of MCSK and a KFCB representative. During the discussion, they decided to pursue Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) instead of going to court.

This comes after Embarambamba was fined Ksh 6.4 million by KFCB for breaking its code of conduct in multiple vulgar and unappealing gospel videos.

Additionally, Embarambamba was told to remove every video from his YouTube channel and submit an application to be permitted to direct any future motion pictures.

Following the meeting, Osoro stated that they had succeeded in persuading MCSK and KFCB to be understanding with Embarambamba, who subsequently consented to resolve the conflict outside of court and support the singer in the future.

Going ahead, we decided to use alternative dispute resolution (ADR) instead of going via the legal system. Additionally, as you can see, Embarambamba has already begun to comply with some of the KFCB's demands, which in and of itself demonstrates some regret and compliant behavior as the body may require of him "explained Osoro.

He also said that during the discussion, they decided that Embarambamba may carry on with his adoration and acclaim, as long as he stayed inside the boundaries established by the oversight organization.

Omari claimed to have succeeded in persuading KFCB to use alternative dispute resolution (ADR) instead of going to court.

"All of the Kisii leadership was having a lot of issues as a result of the ban, and the community was furious because Embarambamba, our music brand, was no longer available. To settle this disagreement, we decided to interact with the entity. We've decided that to resolve this, we must build a friendship," Omari remarked.

Omari stated that fans of Embarambamba's music will sue KFCB and MCSK if his music is taken offline, arguing that musicians should be corrected rather than penalized for their errors.

MSCK's Mutua acknowledged the efforts made to resolve the conflict on his behalf. Mutua said Embarambamba's energy ought to be put to good use rather than being utilized to create pornographic material or damage property.

"At MCSK, we want to coach artists like Embarambamba and other people. Mutua stated, "You understand that we are not in the business of promoting immorality in our culture. This is the space that can be created for our youth and artists."

"We all reached one conclusion, that it is possible to deal with this matter under ADR which is recognized by law so that we mentor Embarambamba, look at the penalties that have been spelled out, and see how we can help together, and make this talent a more useful and responsible contributor to the development of our country," Mutua said.

Since receiving the strike, Embarambamba has persisted in pleading for pardon, claiming that his children will go without food and education because he provides for them via his music.

He has admitted to his errors and pledged to improve in the days ahead.
