Three days ago, the incident took place in the Rachuonyo North sub-county, close to Rambira Beach.
Meshack Ochuma, 32, and his coworker Pius Bura, 42, were discovered dead when fishermen and Kenya Coastguard Service personnel searched.
The guys went missing on Friday, according to Tom Guda, deputy head of the Homa Bay County Beach Management Unit.
Guda urged the government to give fishermen in Lake Victoria high-quality life jackets to prevent similar incidents in the future.
