According to reports, suspicious individuals stormed into the Ministry of Agriculture's Kilimo House offices in Nairobi and took important equipment.
Five computer CPUs were reportedly taken from the accounts and communications departments when police arrived on the scene late on Sunday, January 28.
Due to the fact that the security cameras were turned off at the scene, the investigative team believes there was an inside job.
It was determined that at an unspecified point, the building's first level was broken into.
This came about when the aforementioned burglars broke out sections of the window to allow them inside.
While the investigation into the office breaking was ongoing, the guards taped statements.
Police believe that the robbers had a purpose when they targeted particular information on the laptops.
As part of the investigation into the event, the scene was cleaned up.
Police stated that investigators are looking into the matter even though no arrests or recoveries have been made as of yet.
In another incident in Ramasha, Geteri village, Kisii, police conducted a raid and found 82 bales of mosquito nets in a private residence.
The mosquito nets are designated for distribution in the ongoing malaria campaign and are thought to be government property.
No one was taken into custody, according to the police, who are looking into the recovery.
The reason the item was stored at the house is unknown.
