The East of Embakasi To aid the victims of the Embakasi gas disaster, Babu Owino has made a financial appeal to Kenyans.

Seven individuals lost their lives and over 280 others suffered serious injuries in the explosion at the Embakasi gas plant.

Babu Owino called for Kenyans to come out and support one another in a message on Saturday.

He urged world leaders to pitch in with Kenyans.

"My fellow Kenyans, you can support the victims of the Embakasi fire by channeling your kind donations to PayBill number 247247. A calf that has lost its parents scratches its own back. According to Proverbs 19:17, "Whoever lends liberally to the poor lends to the Lord, and the Lord will reward him for his deed," the man stated.

A few of the notable figures who have helped the victims of the Embakasi fire thus far have also been identified by the legislator.

Babu Owino expressed gratitude to the legislators and governors for their contributions.

They include, among others, Senator Catherine Muma, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Governor Gladys Wanga of Homa Bay, Governor Abdulswamad Nassir of Mombasa, National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, and Member of Parliament for Dagoretti North, Beatrice Elachi.

To assist the people in his constituency, he urged other politicians to work together.

Private sector participants were asked to provide the victims with emergency and medical care on Thursday.

James Nyamongo, CEO of Nairobi Hospital, stated that the situation is critical and that private sector participation is required.

Nairobi Hospital provided the victims with free medical attention and assistance for three days.

At the Embakasi Health Centre, a team of specialists established a temporary hospital.

Among the services offered were dressings, consultations, specialized wound care, and related medications.

However, some instances were referred for additional examinations, like X-rays.
