Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's Accusations

Former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has recently made several accusations against the current government led by President William Ruto. Kenyatta has criticized Ruto for allegedly fostering divisions within the Mt. Kenya region, suggesting that Ruto's administration is employing a divide-and-rule tactic to weaken the political unity of the area.

 Kenyatta's allies claim that this strategy is designed to ensure that the Mt. Kenya leaders remain marginalized and do not pose a threat to Ruto's administration.

Additionally, Kenyatta has expressed discontent with the overall governance approach of Ruto, accusing him of mischief and undermining national development.

He highlighted these issues during a campaign event for the Azimio la Umoja coalition, where he also emphasized that his earlier support for Ruto was withdrawn due to numerous disagreements and a perceived lack of commitment to developmental goals.
