The Africa Cross Country Championships were held on Sunday at the Citrus Golf Club in Hammamet, Tunisia. The winners were Cynthia Chepngeno, Vincent Langat, and Gideon Kipngetich.In the senior women's race, Chengeno led Team Kenya to a podium finish in the top two spots.

Kenyans swept the podium, with Ethiopian Azimeraw Degitu taking the bronze in 33:03.85, just ahead of 2010 Youth Olympic Games 2,000m champion Virginia Nyambura, who clocked in at 32:33.45. With a time of 33:10.18, Gladys Kwamboka of Kenya came in fourth.

Langat guided Naibei Mayabei to victory in 28:31.28 and 28:40.27, respectively, in the 10km senior men's race, marking another podium result for Kenya.

Abel Chebet of Uganda finished the podium in 29:01.81, barely seconds ahead of Ethiopian Gemechu Dida, who finished in 28:57.23.

Edwin Kiprono led Kenya to victory in the mixed relay, with Winfred Nzisa, Victor Mutwi, and Miriam Cherop serving as his anchors. The bronze medal was won by Morocco's Rizqy Hafid, Igram Ouaziz, Tindoufi Mohamed, and Farouk Katwa, while Ethiopia's Urgesa Teddese, Burguda Aduna, Adehena Kasaye, and Danbobbi Dube had to settle for silver.

In the men's 8km under-20 race, Kenyan juniors displayed class by taking the top four spots.

The gold medal was won by Gideon Kipngetich, who ran a time of 23:16.34. Titus Kiprotich, Joash Kiprotich, and Simon Maywa came in second, third, and fourth, respectively. In contrast, Ethiopia dominated the women's 6km under 20 category, with top Kenyan finisher Judy Chepngetich placing sixth in 21:03.05.

In 20:59.33, Ethiopian Diriba Dida won the gold medal, ahead of Olekaba Abera (21:03.05), Ademas Yennesh (21:00.18), Dagnaw Timebeb (21:00.58), and Yadeti Mekedes (21:02.16).
