The renowned Equator Rally, Kenya's FIA African Rally Championship (ARC) round, is about to take place, and the Kenya Motor Sport Federation (KMSF) has said that they are well prepared.

Following the continental Equator event that eliminated Nanyuki Rally Group's round, KMSF general manager Mwaura Njuguna announced during the announcement that the 2024 KMSF sporting calendar has been rescheduled.

The Equator Rally, which is usually conducted in April, was first rescheduled to October and then again to coincide with the Nanyuki Rally on June 28–30.

"The Nanyuki Rally, which was originally scheduled for June, has been moved up to the weekend of May 25–26 as KNRC Round Three due to the change in the ARC date. The World Rally Championships (WRC) Safari, which took place during the sentimental Easter weekend, and the Eldoret Rally, which took place in February, preceded the current event, according to Mwaura. Equator Rally, run by the Sikh Union Club (SUC), will now count toward KNRC-4. It will be followed by the KNRC-5 Nakuru Rally, which takes place on August 3–4, the same weekend as the WRC Rally Finland.

The only sea-level event in Kenya, the KNRC-6 Mombasa Rally, will then see rally traffic. Mombasa Motor Club is scheduled to organize the rally for September 07–08, the same weekend as the renowned WRC EKO Acropolis Rally of Greece.

The Acropolis Rally of Greece is a competition that takes place on extremely dusty, rugged, rocky, and fast mountain roads in mainland Greece, typically during the Greek summer, much to Kenya's legendary Safari. Because the majority of the KNRC events fall between WRC rounds, Mwaura continued, "It's an exciting calendar."

Kenya Motor Sports Club will host the Kenya Motor Sport Club (KNRC-7 Rally) on October 12–13. On November 02–03, the Kenya Racing Team Rally will hold its penultimate round.

The KRT leg will fall in line with the WRC Central European Rally, an exhilarating, recently established multi-national event that began in 2023 and travels across fast-flowing Czech courses, challenging German sections, and picturesque, difficult Austrian rural routes.

The 9-leg KNRC 2024 Series will conclude with the renowned Guru Nanak Rally, which is the Sikh Union's round of the series.

Finland's Kalle Rovanpera and his navigator Jonne Haltunen won the third round of the World Rally Championship series by a margin of one minute and 37.8 seconds over Takamoto Katsuta of Japan and his Irish navigator Aaron Johnstone. Rovanpera and Haltunen were masters of the high-attrition Naivasha conditions. The winner of Safari's KNRC division was Carl Tundo.
