After a long season of inconsistency, it was an uplifting night for Chelsea fans, Poch, Todd and the players. The victory against Brighton and Newcastle’s loss to United means that Chelsea have cemented a top six position and a slot in next year’s Europa league competition.
It was a great night for Chelsea after a depressing season, Brighton are great rivals and have caused trouble for the blues with the great De Zerbi at the helm.
Chelsea drew first blood with Cole Palmer delicately heading a Marc Cucurella goal into Brighton’s goal. The boy from City has become Chelsea’s man and has been a source of inspiration in an almost disastrous season for Chelsea scoring his 22nd premier league goal. Only Erling Haaland has scored more than him.
Another positive for the blues is the return of captain Reece James who took part in the game. However, it was uplifting to see summer signing Nkunku return and score in the premier league.
Chelsea fans are happier now with the blues sitting at sixth and Poch looks like he has resolved a very difficult puzzle.
The future is bright for the Chelsea youngsters with a chance to add quality in their already star-studded squad in the summer window.
