SECURITY AGENCIES ARE FAILING GUSII RESIDENTS

The increasing number of insecurity issues being reported in Gusii region are worrying, with murders and robberies being the most rampant.

The low level of vigilance by security apparatus in both Kisii and Nyamira has led to loss of many lives and a lot can be done about.

For instance, a woman called Joyce Kerubo was murdered in cold blood and her body dumped in a river at Gesonso.

In another incidence, a woman was killed and her body was found at her doorstep in Nyamira.

These two incidences are testimony to deteriorating state of security in Kisii and Nyamira county. The big question is where are the police and the main security agencies in the counties.

The county commissioner should launch investigations about these incidences because residents from this region deserve a reassurance of their security.
