8 DEAD AND SCORES INJURED IN KAREN ACCIDENT

8 people are dead after a bus belonging to Naboko Sacco plunged into Mbagathi river after the driver lost control of the bus. 18 others were were injured and were rushed to nearby hospitals.

Survivors of the accident say that the driver of the matatu was indisposed to drive the vehicle and was overspeeding and the vehicle was overloaded.

The spot at which the accident happpened is a blackspot and many people have lost their lives on the same spot that today's accident happpened.

Residents in the area have asked government agencies to tighten traffic rules especially on careless driving to prevent the loss of life.

Road accidents have claimed lifes of over 1000 people in the country since january according to NTSA statistics.
