DEAD BODY OF MISSING KENYAN MOUNTAINEER CHERUIYOT KIRUI DISCOVERED
We announce with great grief the demise of Kenyan mountaineer Cheruiyot Kirui on Mount Everest. On the X platform, Everest Today reported, "His body was discovered a few meters below the summit point of Mt. Everest."
The body of missing Kenyan mountaineer Cheruiyot Kirui has been discovered a short distance below Mount Everest's summit.
Kirui was traveling alongside Nepali climber Nawang Sherpa, whose whereabouts are still unknown, as they attempted to reach the peak without additional oxygen.

An ice fall crumbled during their descent from Everest's peak on Tuesday morning, leaving the Nepali guide missing. A search is currently ongoing to locate him.
