Okoth Obado, the former governor of Migori, is expected to lose property valued at Ksh.235 million that was purportedly obtained dishonestly using proceeds from corruption.
This comes after the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) was given permission by the High Court on Tuesday to confiscate and auction the properties, which included two expensive cars and residential homes.
EACC claims that Obado and his cronies own the properties, which include a Ksh. 40 million property in Nairobi's Loresho estate. The properties are the result of corruption and mysterious money that was taken from the Migori County Government. The properties under consideration are Sunrise Centre, a commercial block valued at Ksh.88 million, a five-story residential block valued at Ksh.57.6 million, and two apartments in Greenspan, each valued at Ksh.9Million

A residential property valued at Ksh. 10 million and two Toyota Land Cruiser cars are also up for auction.
