JSC APPOINTS FRIDAH MOKAYA AS THE NEW CHIEF REGISTRAR
After receiving 47 applications from job-seeking people, JSC shortlisted 7 of them, and on Monday, March 18, they had interviews. Fridah Mokaya was subsequently determined by the commission to be the most qualified applicant.
Fridah Boyani Mokaya has been appointed Chief Registrar by the Judicial Service Commission. After Ann Amadi retired earlier in January, the post became available.
After receiving 47 applications from job-seeking people, JSC shortlisted 7 of them, and on Monday, March 18, they had interviews. Fridah Mokaya was subsequently determined by the commission to be the most qualified applicant.
Friday is a seasoned attorney with more than 27 years of extensive expertise. She has been the JSC Registrar from 2012 before being appointed Chief Registrar. In the judiciary, she also held the position of senior principle magistrate.
Her new responsibilities will include creating estimates of expenditures and budgets, as well as managing the judicial fund.
Kandet Kennedy Lenkamai, Ndemo Paul Maina, Wambeti Anne Ireri, Busalile Mwimali, Macharia Rose Wachuka, and Kendagor Caroline Jepyegen were among the other candidates who faced the JSC interview panel.
