KEGATI: KENYA POWER WORKS ON ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION PYLONS
Kenya Power had to apologize to the customers and ask for their patience during the difficult and sad moments.
The Kisii County was plunged into darkness early Tuesday morning after a gang attacked the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company in Kegati.
The Kegati substation is the Kisii main power station transmission station and the 3 a.m. attack caused a power outage across the country.
According to the incident, Kenya power Manager Dan Obiero said the morning attack also left security guards injured. The electricity company said its team was at the site and warned that restoration of power would take a long time.
Kenya Power had to apologize to the customers and ask for their patience during the blackout moments.
