We will have nothing to celebrate tomorrow on Madaraka day with the country in shambles, our doctors are on strike and service delivery at public hospitals are totally paralyzed.
JSS teachers have been on strike for the better time of the second term. This is after a court ruling proclaimed the hiring of intern teachers as unconstitutional. The situation has been mitigated but it tells a lot about how the current government is handling important issues in the country.
There is a looming heartbreak for the hustler nation after the new proposed Finance Bill was tabled in public. The Ruto administration has not learned from the public’s reaction from last year when people were entirely uncontented by governments plan.
The new bill seeks to increase taxes on almost everything, what has caught everybody’s eye is the increase on taxes on automotives. The situation in the country has worsened and quick interventions might help.
It’s been a tough two years for hustlers in the country amid hard economic times. New tax laws have upset different sectors with government employees claiming foul play with increased tax on their salaries.
In the upcoming Madaraka day celebrations the president has a tough nut to crack, Kenyans will like to celebrate financial freedom and not freedom from colonization, this government needs to change its narrative from big ambitions to small improvements of livelihoods for hustlers like it said it would.
