Nyamira MPs cant Agree on Location of University
In a public rally some MPs from Nyamira County expressed their displeasure in the chosen location for the Nyamira.
President William Ruto is in Kisii for a 3 day tour and has declared that he will be launching development programmes worth Kshs 7billion.
However, one of the main projects the president wants to launch is a University in Nyamira where MPs from the region have now publicly disagreed on where the university should be constructed.
The president's Kisii tour kicked off at Kiabonyouru Secondary School where he launched construction of 3 classrooms and pledged to start a university at the vicinities of the school.
He said 44 labaratories and dormitories will be constructed in 68 schools in four sub counties in the region.
The projects will be funded in a patnership with the Kuwaiti Government which will contribute 1.2billion into developing the projects.
