OMOKUNGU STENGO 25 MARCH 2024

Omokungu stengo is a Ndizi tv inhouse production program that creates women empowerment content hosted by Dorcas Kemuma.On Monday 25^th March 2024, she hosted Judy Kemuma alias mama kangumu from Egesa, Judy is also physically impaired. She started baking locally famous mandazi commonly known as kangumu in 2015.She is also a farmer and sells grocery as her side hustle. She had been cooking chips earlier but when a friend advised about kangumu, she decided to shift to baking. Judy has her own recipe and follows a rigorous process in baking the kangumu so as to maximize profits. Despite being physically challenged; Judy runs her business without any help.

Her biggest challenge is that she does not own a permanent structure and during rainy days it rains in her makeshift structure, which makes it impossible to even put up a fire to cook her Kangumu. Judy also says that some her clients take her Kangumus on credit and fail to remit their debts which makes it difficult for her to restock her business.
