OWNER OF THE LETHAL GAS FACTORY IN EMBAKASI HELD FOR 21 DAYS
On Tuesday, the state asked for 21 days to finish its investigations into the murder, abuse of office, negligent act, and conspiracy to commit a criminal case.
The court has ordered the detention of two Nema executives and the owner of the murderous Embakasi gas plant for 21 days.
Their custody is necessary to enable police to wrap up their investigation.
The three are Joseph Makau and Marrian Kioko from NEMA, as well as Derrick Kimathi, the plant's owner.
The Embakasi Police Station will host them.
Due to his medical condition, David Ong'are, the third suspect, will only be detained for a maximum of 10 days.
The Capitol Hill Police Station will hold him.
His medical records were provided to the court on Tuesday, but they were not made available to the public.

The respondents' attorney, Wandugi Kirathe, asked the court to order their detention at the Capitol Hill Police Station after the verdict.
The State, however, refuted this.
Lead prosecutor James Gachoka pointed out that they had made it clear in their detention request that they required the four to be held at the Embakasi Police Station.
