The suspect killed himself while getting ready for his court appearance, according to Kapsarur OCPD.
Locals, wondering how the suspect killed himself while being observed by police, barged into the station and threatened to set it on fire.
"We want to know where he got the rope from because it is the responsibility of police officers to run a search and hold every suspect's possessions before being locked in a cell," said one of the locals.
Officials stated that the suspect killed himself after being imprisoned in the cell, but they were unable to explain how the suspect obtained the sisal rope.
Documents obtained from the scene revealed that the suspect was taken into custody following allegations that she had sexually assaulted a missing 17-year-old girl.
The local government quickly secured a search warrant. The missing girl revealed that she had been beaten and held captive by the suspect during her disappearance when she eventually reappeared.
A portion of the police report stated, "The missing girl resurfaced and confessed to having been at Elvis Dede's house where she was defiled."
After the accusations, the suspect had escaped and was only caught yesterday; however, when he was being held, he committed suicide.
