At the State House on Monday, Facebook Management Team and President William Ruto discussed the platform's monetization. Meta owns the platform.

Ruto met with representatives from Facebook, the parent firm of Instagram, and several content providers. Meta said that representatives of the social media site had given him a pledge. For those who create digital content, the President noted that this is a significant step.

The Head of State went on to say that this new development is evidence of the economic policy that aims to provide every Kenyan with an opportunity to earn a living and improve their quality of life.

"A large number of you will qualify in a few weeks. All Kenyan creators will now have access to the eligibility requirements. "I sincerely appreciate Facebook for accompanying us on this journey, and that's a significant step toward ensuring that our content creators have the chance to monetize their talent to give themselves additional revenue," the speaker stated.

Ruto also pushed the Meta team to start the procedure as soon as possible during the meeting.

He claimed that many of the nation's digital artists would find this to be a pleasant surprise.
