At the Italy-Africa conference, which aims to improve ties between Africa and the European country, President William Ruto is one of numerous African leaders present in Rome.

Spokesman for the State House Mohamed Hussein said Italy is anticipated to introduce a "new approach" to working with African nations.

"Projects arising from the partnership between Italy and Kenya will be accelerated, encompassing initiatives in the areas of environmental preservation, adaptability to climate change, water resources, health, energy, and cultural preservation," Mohamed declared.

Mohamed added that during the conference, President Ruto is anticipated to give an address on energy security.

"During the summit, President Ruto will give a speech on energy security in his role as the Chair of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC)," a news release from Mohamed said.

President Ruto stated in his X account that he is determined to look into collaborations that can speed up the government's aim for bottom-up transformation.

He wrote in the post, "We are eager to explore partnerships that will accelerate the realization of our development agenda."

To foster bilateral collaboration, Ruto is expected to speak with Sergio Mattarella, the president of Italy.

The two presidents will also go over the agreements made with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and during Mattarella's March visit to Kenya last year.
