Rigathi Gachagua: Security Personel Attempted to Murder My Employee

The Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in an interview with the Mt Kenya Vernacular stations stated that He is ready to defend the former president from any more attacks from the current government.

" Uhuru Kenyatta should be given the retirement benefits,Cars and also security. We used to blame him for destroying the economy of the nation but it has been 2 years since we took over the government and the economy is getting from bad to worse. Nobody Will drag Uhuru Kenyatta into the problems we are facing as a country,” Gachagua said.

Gachagua also said that there was an attempted assassination  of one of his employees . The  assassin was on a motorbike and he shot at the employee who sustained a shoulder injury. The solo assassin aimed at the head and a quick dash saved his life. He was the one helping the Deputy to fight against the illicit brewing.He visited Nairobi Hospital where the bullet was removed.He also revealed that  President William Ruto was unaware of the attempted murder and he is the one who called him to inform him.

Rigathi stated that they are selling him fear but he is ready to work and called on the other leaders from the Northern part of Kenya to support the government without pushing him out of the government. For the recent few past months the deputy President fell out with a section of leaders who accused him of engaging in tribal politics by promoting the one man,one vote,one shilling policy.

Deputy Rigathi Gachagua is facing an impeachment motion which he insisted is not yet to be brought to his attention.
