President Ruto yesterday touched in the United States for an historic four-day tour. The scenes were lively as the president was received by US secret service and escorted with a presidential entourage.

President Ruto yesterday touched in the United States for an historic four-day tour. The scenes were lively as the president was received by US secret service and escorted with a presidential entourage. Upon arrival his first agenda was to speak to Kenyans living in USA at an Atlanta Forum.

“I want to thank you in a very special way for giving me and my team the opportunity to address you, it is an honor to serve a great country such as Kenya,” Ruto said.

He went ahead and thanked the Kenyans for voting for him and encouraged them to continue having the same unity. Its through voting that encourages the leaders to do their part.

 “I know most of you voted for me and others voted for my opponent but I don’t have a problem with people who don’t vote. I am going to do what is right in order to take Kenya to the right place.”  Ruto said.

As a Kenyan president my mission is to unite the country. All Kenyans are one people, one nation and having one president hence good presentation of the country.

All leaders should work together despite coming from different parties hence have a country that we will be proud of. He reiterated on his policies on agriculture and production and said that the only way to bring down food prices in the country was through production.

“If we invest in production, we will not import maize, rice and other foods like soya If we produce food as country, we will be able to grow well,” he said.

The president was very passionate about defending his policies in Agriculture, Education and Housing saying that the policies will improve the country. He also said that he valued jobs in the diaspora and he was going to have bilateral talks with US government to create jobs for Kenyans in the states.
