THE BODY OF KELVIN KIPTUM DEPARTS THE MORGUE FOR THE FUNERAL IN ITEN

Families and friends came to see the late Kiptum's last voyage on Thursday morning and watched the cortege leave the morgue at Eldoret Hospital around 9:00 a.m.

Following a procession through Eldoret town, the convoy will proceed to Kiptum's residence in Iten.

Following a church service at Iten, the public will be able to examine the late athlete's body.

Amos Kipruto, Janet Chepkosgei, Vivian Cheruiyot, Milcah Chemos Moses Kiptanui, and other athletes have shown up to see their colleagues go.

On Friday, Kiptum will be buried at his Naiberi residence. President William Ruto, as well as representatives from the state and the sports industry, will attend the funeral.
