Three businessmen were killed by a mob on Monday night in Bondo, Siaya after they were accosted while butchering a cow in a jungle that was allegedly stolen.

The three were killed by a mob in Okanda village, West Sakwa when they were butchering a cow they believed might have been stolen. The assistant chief of Utonga, Aluoch Chacha, asserts that the three were victims of mob injustice and that this is why they died.

"They were found having slaughtered a cow suspected to have been stolen, belonging to Monica Olulo, a resident of the same village," stated Chacha.

There was a TukTuk in the bush, Chacha continued.

"The TukTuk was presumably on standby to ferry the meat once the slaughtering process was over," Chacha explained.

The three remains were taken to the Bondo subcounty mortuary for an autopsy, and the TukTuk was towed to the Bondo police station.
