Youths are top of our agenda- Education CS Ezekiel Machogu

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu has said that the Kenya Kwanza administration has put plans in place to ensure that the education sector in the country thrives.

Speaking at a prayer meeting in KICC Nairobi Machogu said that government has already released funds meant for capitation to schools to ensure that schools are running smoothly.

“This government of Dr William Ruto has its undivided focus on the youth, 30% of  Kenya's budget is allocated for education. Government has put 650billion into the education sector this year, showing its dedication and commitment towards transforming our education sector,” said Machogu.

Machogu urged youths to embrace technology and take advantage of government programs to get training and opportunities to work online. He said that unemployment is a major problem and online jobs were the only way to ameliorate the problem.

“Government is investing billions of money year after year to educate our children and we need to get return on our investment. That’s why government is very deliberate and intentional in matters employment. Let us take advantage of technology and embrace the idea of online jobs,” said Machogu.
