After their one-year-old child perished in a water-filled basin at their Ruai, Nairobi, home, the family is in mourning.

The boy was left playing in the residence on Sunday, March 10 at night by his mother, who reported the incident to the police.

But the residence did have a basin full of water.

When the mom returned from a lengthy phone call, she claimed to have discovered the child's body submerged in the water.

He'd lost his life in the water. When she cried out for assistance, it was already too late.

While an investigation was being conducted, police assisted in moving the body to the mortuary.

Witnesses claimed that the mother was upset by the incident.

Officials typically encourage parents and guardians to keep water away from young children because such accidents frequently occur in households.

A two-year-old boy perished in the Indian Ocean in the Matondoni district of Lamu County.

On Saturday night, the incident occurred while the child and his pals were having fun in the water.

The young man was taken to a nearby dispensary and declared dead while receiving treatment.

Later on Sunday, by Muslim custom, the body was returned to the family for burial.

In a different incident, A Form Three student at Shimbo Secondary School in Wundanyi perished on Saturday while swimming at the Kishenyi dam in Taita Taveta.

The body was discovered on Sunday following an hours-long underwater search by local divers.

Some witnesses claim that after being overtaken by the water, the deceased could be heard pleading for assistance.

According to the police, the 17-year-old kid drowned while swimming with other classmates. Officials stated that the pupils made the decision to visit the dam right after their afternoon sessions ended.

The event was reported to the authorities, who then opened an inquiry.

Police are currently looking into a possible suicide case involving a woman whose body was discovered on a tree in Nairobi's Kamulu neighborhood.

According to witnesses and authorities, the body was discovered on Sunday near the Green View neighborhood's Reflector Road.

After a swift examination of the woman's handbag, police officials who had raced to the site discovered a national identity card with the name Angwang Dorothy Achieng on it.

There was no suicide note discovered. If the death was a suicide or a homicide that was disguised as a suicide, the police are looking into it.

In anticipation of an autopsy and investigation, the body was taken to the mortuary.
