Nairobi Police Officer Shot Dead After Shooting Makadara Magistrate

A senior police officer has been shot and killed after he shot and injured a Magistrate at Makadara Law Courts.

The Makadara Principal Magistrate was shot by the police officer after she delivered a ruling in court about his wife.

A police report says that the officer is a commanding officer in Kisumu. Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei confirmed that the police officer had travelled from Kisumu to attend the ruling.

 The court was being held in a tent outside the court and the officer followed Kivuti outside the tent shooting her and injuring her fatally.

Monica Kivuti has been rushed to a nearby hospital while the body of the police officer was taken from the scene and rushed to a Nairobi mogue.
