The deceased Wangari assumed the role of a parent and looked after for the entire Gachagua family following the death of their original parents. The DP recalled his late sister as a "caring mother and family Matriarch" in an emotional message on Thursday.
The death of Wangari comes barely two years after the death of Gachagua’s only surviving Brother Jack Reriani.
Reriani died on September 24, 2022, over excessive drinking while celebrating the Kenya Kwanza victory after the 2022 polls.
Nderitu Gachagua, the first governor of Nyeri County, who passed away in February 2017 was brother DP Gachagua.
