Following a fire incident that resulted in no injuries and was connected to an electrical malfunction, Kenya Airport Authority (KAA) has shuttered Terminal 1E at the nation's principal international airport.
The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) fire was confined by reaction personnel, according to KAA, and no casualties were reported.
For continuity, all flight operations on the impacted Terminal were transferred to Terminal 1A.
In an update on Monday morning, KAA said, "All flight arrival operations have been redirected to Terminal 1A until further notice, to mitigate any inconvenience this may cause."
