JOWIE'S SENTENCE RESCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY NEXT WEEK.

The sentence of Joseph Irungu, also known as Jowie, was postponed by the court on Friday, so he will find out his destiny by Wednesday of next week.

After determining that the court's conclusion in the matter would be aided by the timely filing of certain documents, Lady Justice Grace Nzioka rendered her verdict.

After determining that Jowie was guilty of killing Monica, the High Court was scheduled to sentence him on Friday.

The previous month, he was found guilty of the murder.

He was cleared together with his co-accused and former fiancée, Jacque Maribe. 

Justice Grace Nzioka stated that Maribe was acquitted because the prosecution had not positioned her at the crime scene.

The two were being charged with murder together.

In her decision from February, Justice Grace Nzioka stated that the prosecution had proven Jowie's murder of Monica Kimani beyond a reasonable doubt.

"The first accused committed the offense, which is the cause of the death that occurred. It was an illegal situation rather than a homicide. "I deem Jowie guilty of the murder offense as it is charged herein," she declared.

According to Justice Grace Nzioka, the prosecution met the requirements and presented enough evidence.

"The deceased's killer did not want to give her a single minute to live. "In my well-considered opinion and conclusion, the offender intended immediate death," the woman stated.

According to Nzioka, the initial suspect has the "know-how on how to kill."

She also mentioned Jowie's prior acquaintance with Monica Kimani.

The prosecution has called 35 witnesses in Jowie and Jacque Maribe's trial, which began in April 2018. There were no witnesses called by the defense.

With her throat cut, Monica Kimani's body was discovered in a bathtub.

She had tape over her lips and her hands and feet bound behind her back.

According to police, more than one guy would have been needed to carry out the murder.
