Kirinyaga Woman Drowns her Two Children in Swamp

Police have launched investigations after a woman in Ndiya,Kirinyaga county after a woman allegedly drowned two of her children aged 3 and 4 years old.

A resident in the region saw the 20 year old woman throwing the two children into a swamp and quickly rushed to inform other villagers about the incident.

Efforts to rescue the children were futile as the children had already drowned in the swamp. A witness who was at the scene said that he could not rescue the children as he was fishing several meters away.

The woman had picked her children from school claiming that he wanted her children to escort her to a funeral, she had had then proceeded to dump the two children in a nearby quarry turned swamp.
