On whether they were required to hear specifics of the affair in summary, MPs were divided. Omanyo asked the committee to call Kitany to testify in front of the members and share her side of the tale.

The chair of the committee, Naomi Waqo, stated that she would determine later whether or not to invite Kitany. In front of the Select Committee on the Proposed Dismissal of Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock were Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi and his attorney, Muthomi Thiankolu. In front of the Select Committee on the Proposed Dismissal of Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock were Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi and his attorney, Muthomi Thiankolu.

During a parliamentary committee hearing on Thursday, the historical relationship between Aldai MP Maryanne Kitany and Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi took center stage.

Members of the Select Committee on the Proposed Dismissal of Linturi vehemently disagreed over whether or not they required further information regarding the two's prior relationship.

Representative Catherine Omanyo of Busia Woman asked the committee to invite Kitany to testify in front of the members and share her side of the story."Even though we are listening to the CS's perspective, we are having trouble moving forward because the person being named is not present to defend herself. When one end of the spectrum is absent, we are unable to hear from the other. Omanyo responded, "Let the MP come defend herself."

Kitany's invitation will be decided upon at a later time, according to committee chair Naomi Waqo.

Omanyo begged us to invite Kitany. Later on, we'll address the matter on a different plane," Waqo declared.

Waqo pointed out that the committee did not prevent Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, the person who initiated the motion, from making his argument.

It's not pleasant to talk about bedroom issues, but the mover put us in this predicament. We must deal with it now that they haven't retracted. Waqo continued, "The CS is free to respond.

The public heard Wamboka on Wednesday, she continued, and they shouldn't hear Linturi's side at this point.

It is regrettable, according to Tharaka MP Gitonga Murugara, that the committee must address matters brought up by the person who initiated the impeachment process.

He stated, "The CS has to respond because the mover of the motion introduced the court cases."

As the mover of the motion pursued his case, the CS is required to address the allegations, according to Matuga MP Kassim Tandaza.

He stated, "Unless they are discussing anything other than the affidavits, I do not see anything wrong."

Wamboka instructed Linturi to refrain from involving Aldai MP in the impeachment proceedings during his contribution on Wednesday.

"I have looked at the responses by the CS and it is nothing short of a love letter by a jilted lover," he continued.

"Ukiachwa achika,"he said .
Wamboka claimed it was terrible that despite having her own family, the CS continued to involve her in every situation.
