MAN CHOPS UP MOTHER'S BODY AFTER KILLING HER.
The horrific killing was allegedly sparked by Nyambura demolishing 20 coffee plants that Murimi, a butcher by trade, had grown on her land, Kirinyaga West Sub-County Police Commander Moses Koskei confirmed to Citizen Digital.
On Thursday night, a 30-year-old man from the village of Riakinia in the Ndia Constituency of Kirinyaga County killed his 56-year-old mother with a machete.
Murimi Maina, the attacker, allegedly turned on his mother Jane Nyambura Maina when they couldn't agree on what crops to grow for coffee on a plot of property.
The horrific killing was allegedly sparked by Nyambura demolishing 20 coffee plants that Murimi, a butcher by trade, had grown on her land, Kirinyaga West Sub-County Police Commander Moses Koskei confirmed to Citizen Digital.
It is said that Murimi threatened his mother with dire consequences for her behavior before cutting her to death.
The police commander declared, "He fulfilled his threat and killed her by chopping her body into pieces."
After the attack, the accused is said to have left the area.
Since then, as the manhunt for Murimi continues, the deceased's body has been sent to the mortuary at Kerugoya Hospital.
