MAN SENTENCED TO 100 YEARS IN JAIL AFTER HIS RAPE APPEAL FLOPS

A court in Nakuru has ruled that a man who defiled three minors and two other suspects will serve a combined 320 years after their appeal was rejected.

Justice Samwel Mohochi upheld the sentence of David Kiragu on the grounds that someone can’t appeal on the grounds of the severity of a court sentence.

Justice Mohochi said that the 100-year sentence was not severe as the accused had subjected five minors to an inhuman sexual attack. The minors being young girls of less than seven years.

David Arega appealed in 2019 after a lower court sentenced him to 100years in jail, citing the severity of his sentence as grounds for his appeal.
