Shortly after Monica Kimani's murder case was found guilty by Justice Grace Nzioka, Jowie Irungu dropped a brand-new gospel song.

At 2:00 pm on Friday, the song Nakuabudu was posted to YouTube. It's a gospel worship song that extols the grandeur of God.

Jowie weeps at God's feet in the song, declaring that he is going back to him.

Mikononi narejea mwako Yesu. Irungu sings, "Miguuni mwako Yesu, nalilia."

After a five-year trial and three postponements of the verdict delivery, Jowie was found guilty of murder today.

According to Judge Nzioka, the prosecution has shown that Irungu killed Kimani beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Jowie, however, said through Professor Nandwa, his attorney, that he would be filing an appeal against the High Court's ruling.

Jacque Maribe, the second defendant in the same case, was found not guilty of the murder allegations against her.
