NYAMIRA RESIDENTS DECRY INCREASING INSECURITY IN THE REGION

Residents from Nyamira county have complained about the deteriorating state of security in the area. Security agencies are being urged to tighten security in area and to crackdown on bandits and robbers.

In Nyamira county West Mugirango constituency Ibucha SDA church are pleading to the security agencies to help them end banditry in the region.

 “These acts of banditry have kept reoccurring; this is the second time they are robbing our church.”  One of the church members said.

 Cases of banditry and robbery have increased in Nyamira county and also in other parts of Gusii. Lack of employment and drug abuse are a leading cause of increase in crime in the region.
