SHOCK AS MAN IN JOGOO BURNS HIMSELF INSIDE HIS HOUSE

Residents from Jogoo in Kisii county were shocked after middled aged man locked himself inside his house and set the house a blaze.

Neighbors to the man say that in days leading to the incident the man looked stressed and appeared to be struggling mentally.

When the residents were alarmed about the fire, they rushed to the scene and tried to put off the fire. Investigations have shown that the fire was caused by a gas leak opening a lid into this suicide case. It is suspected that the man used his gas cylinder to start the fire.

Psychological and mental issues are a leading cause of suicide in the country and we urge relevant authorities to come up with mechanisms to ameliorate the rising incidents of suicide in the county.
