Stop protests and give Ruto time to address your demands , MP Amisi

MP for Saboti, Caleb Amisi, urged Gen Z to end their demonstrations on Wednesday so that President William Ruto has time to respond to their requests.

"The Gen Z protests should now stop for a commercial break. We keenly watch behaviour of Ruto while drawing him a raft of radical surgeries he needs to undertake within one month, including a new cabinet," Amisi said in a statement on X.

"If we are not satisfied, we come back with five million people to Nairobi until he resigns. Kenya can be liberated without sinking into anarchy," he added.

 Amisi stated that goons are harvesting at the expense of liberation.

"It is never a one-day event," he said.

The Finance Bill's withdrawal, which has aroused intense debate and resistance, is what set off the Gen Z protests.
President Ruto withdrew the law following a flurry of demonstrations due to criticism about the plan's possible economic consequences.

I have heard that they do not want a multisectoral forum, and maybe we should engage on X, and I'm open to talking with them on a forum they are comfortable with," Ruto said.
