3 CABINET SECRETARIES UNDER FIRE FOR UNDER PERFOMANCE

President Ruto has been faulted severally for appointing incompetent cabinet secretaries. Several CSs in the government are under fire after some MPs have pointed fingers at them for underperforming. 

Health CS Susan Nakhumicha found herself at the center of controversy following her handling of the ongoing doctor’s strike.

She failed to mitigate the strike that has been taking place for almost a month now. Led by national assembly minority leader Opiyo wandayi, they pointed out that the health cabinet secretary has portrayed her incompetence by failing to compel Treasury to release funds to address the doctor’s welfare.

According to Susan Nakhumicha she has offered appropriate services required for the doctors. She has also said that the ministry will move to court if the Kenya medical practitioners and dentists’ union (KMPDU) does not call off the doctor’s strike.  

On the other hand, CS Agriculture and livestock Development Hon Linturi Mithika has an impeachment scare hovering his back after many MPs said that they dissatisfied by his service delivery in the docket.

Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi has also been on the crossfire after many quarters have questioned his handling of the fake fertilizer saga. MPs and other public servants have asked him to resign or an impeachment motion will be pushed on the floor of the house to impeach him.
