It was a thrilling affair as West Ham visited London rivals Chelsea for the return fixture of the London derby. With West Ham only 2 points above Chelsea it was always going to be a very competitive match.
Chelsea drew first blood with a Cole Palmer goal after the ball ricocheted from Nicholas Jackson placing a spectacular shot on the bottom left corner. It was a bad day for West Ham on the pitch as Conor Gallagher added a second goal putting Chelsea two goals up.
The disappointment for the Hammers got more intense after Noni Madueke netted the third goal, however the derby at the bridge for the visitors got worse after Nicholas Jackson clinched a brace bringing the scores to 5:0 after the final whistle.
This victory enabled Chelsea to climb the English premier league table up to seventh position giving them high hopes for qualifying for the European positions.
In the meantime West Ham were left riling at 9th position jeopardizing their chances of finishing in the European positions.
