A 16-YEAR-OLD GIRL ARRESTED AFTER KILLING HER NIECE "ACCIDENTALLY."
The mentally ill suspect was playing with other small children on their property, according to Cleti Kimaiyo, the commander of Siaya County Police. Officers from the Siaya Police Station responded quickly to the site.
The 16-year-old girl is accused of using a spear to kill her 9-year-old niece at Nyandiwa village in the Alego/Usonga sub-county. Siaya County police are looking into this occurrence.
The Siaya Police Station was notified of a murderous occurrence at Nyandiwa village by Assistant Chief Joseph Otieno Aloo of the Nyandiwa Sub-location.

He said that just before the suspect entered her father's home and took a spear, which she hurled at them, the nine-year-old unintentionally struck her in the head, instantly killing her.
Mr. Kimaiyo confirmed the event and stated that although investigations were ongoing, the body was sent to Siaya County Referral Hospital after being processed and documented at the site.
Following his arrest, the suspect is helping the police with their investigations. Additionally, the murder weapon was located and preserved as an exhibit.
