KISII ADMINISTRATION CECM FACES OUSTER DUE TO FRAUD AND INACCURATE HIRING

A Select Committee has been formed by the Kisii County Assembly to look into allegations of forgery made by the member of the County Executive Committee overseeing administration. 

Ward Representatives filed a move to impeach Dr. Alfred Ndemo, claiming that he had biased recruiting practices and harassed staff members, giving preference to female applicants. 

Richard Maniani, the Bogeka Ward MCA, also mentioned severe misconduct when he filed the motion. He charged that the CECM had forged official documents to portray Governor Simba Arati. 

Manani addressed an Assembly session led by Speaker Philip Nyanumba, saying, "Ndemo purported to have [been] appointed by the Governor to the implementation committee for the establishment of Kisii Industrial Park while knowing the same [is] untrue and spearheading the project without authorization by the Governor." 

He said that Ndemo's actions were against the Leadership and Integrity Act's stipulations.

Nidemo allegedly hired three people against HR policies after Speaker Philip Nyanumba/Kisii County Assembly Manani accused Ndemo of improperly assigning two workers to his department.

selected MCA Nonetheless, Lilian Gor opposed the proposal for removal, criticizing her colleagues for not understanding the CECM's mission.

She claimed that "the people who drafted this motion were not kind enough to this House to present to us a copy of the [forged] letter and confirmation of individuals who sat to ascertain the authenticity of what is presented to us."

According to Gor, the move's backer is attempting to settle political scores in the Assembly.

Henry Moracha, the majority leader, rejected the motion as well. The Assembly will meet to discuss a report that was prepared by a five-person committee assigned to review the proposal.
