Schedule for Press Antigovernment protests

Following the shooting of Kameme Fm and K24 journalist Catherine Kariuki journalists are planning to protest against police brutality and gaging of the media tomorrow.

In the ongoing anti-government protests we have witnessed police using unsolicited force against members of the press, human rights activists and social media activists. Below are the demands that members of the fourth estate want government to honour.

Kenyas' media personality are demanding for the following:

1. Press freedom
2. Safety and security for journalists
3. Prosecution of violent police
4. Unrestricted access to information

   

5. End media censorship
6. Stop CA threats
7. Gazzette all media complaints and commissioners
8. Pay money owed to media
9. Scrap GAA
10. Stop using state ads to fight media
