Governor Simba Arati has been called to appear on Tuesday of next week by the Environment and Lands Court, located in Nyamira, for contempt charges related to the Keroka Boundary issue.

Two weeks ago, Justice Mugo Kamau heard the Keroka Boundary dispute and made a decision. As a result, a greater portion of Keroka town was moved to Nyamira.

The ruling that gave Nyamira a larger portion of Keroka town has already been appealed by the Kisii Court Government.

The court judgment states that "the same will be mentioned in open court on 12/03/2024 at 10.30 am due to the urgency and sovereignty of the issue mentioned in the application and the gravity of the matter."
