WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN A RIVER IN BONCHARI

Residents from Bonchari have been shocked after the body of a woman was found maimed and dumped in a river in Gensonso Bogiakumu ward.

The woman by the name Joyce Gesare went missing weeks ago in unknown circumstances. She was found bound in a sack with her arms and hands tied.

Police recovered the body from the river after they were alerted by residents from the area. The body of the deceased was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital.

Residents are worried about the increasing insecurity and have asked government to strengthen the capacity of security agencies in the area.
